Step 2 - Customize

Now that you have a good understanding of the toolbar's features, it's time to customize the toolbar to make your user experience even better. Click on the downward arrow next to the Inspection Radio 1.0 BETA button. This will open a drop-down menu.

1) Click on the "Shrink Toolbar" link. This will shrink each button's width so only the icon appears for each category. This helps keep all of the toolbar options viewable on your computer screen. You can always come back and choose "Unshrink Toolbar" to expand all of the buttons again.

2) Click on the "Toolbar Options" link. This will open up a new window where you can select which toolbar components you would like to display. You can choose from Microsoft Office quick links, email notifiers, a weather indicator and more. Select as many or as few components as you want and check the options menu often. We will be adding more components each month.

3) Click on the "Gadgets" link. This will open up a new window where you can choose from additional components to add to the toolbar. These include a To-Do list, calculator, translation service, games and many more options coming soon!

Step 3 - Basic Tips

Following are the (3) three most important things to keep in mind when using the Inspection Radio™ Toolbar.

1) The toolbar should be a starting point for your home inspection information and web search needs. The links we provide and the advanced search functionality that the toolbar offers will provide you with ideas and a direction for getting the information you need from the web. For example, if you find some information that you like from a link, document or website found on the toolbar, use the keywords on the web pages you find and enter them into our home inspection search engine. You will be amazed at how many additional resources you will find.

2) The toolbar provides you with the transparency you want when trying to find information, products and services that can help you and your home inspection business. Since we are not affiliated with any home inspector organization, training or ancillary service provider, the information we make available is not filtered or excluded in any way. We simply provide easy access to the information that is already available on the Internet.

3) The toolbar is a complete multi-media experience. Don't just use the links that the toolbar provides. The Inspection Radio™ Toolbar is the easiest way for you to learn about Web 2.0 technologies which include blogs, audio & video podcasts and using social and professional networking sites. You'll be amazed and surprised at how other home inspectors and home inspection product and service providers are using the Internet today.

Step 4 - Advanced Tips

1) Don't be shy. Experiment with the advanced search engine functionality that the Inspection Radio™ Toolbar provides.

2) Watch and listen to the audio and video tutorials to make the most of the toolbar. COMING SOON!

3) Be prepared to learn more about the advanced Web 2.0 community and collaborative technologies available on the Internet including tagging, clipping, wikis, pipes and more!

Remember, social media is the body language of the Internet. Use it to your advantage to make you and your home inspection business more successful.

Step 5 - Use it Daily!

Every day, the toolbar gets updated with new information. You do not want to be the last to know about information that can greatly impact your business. Whether it's industry news, information about a new product or a special offer made only to toolbar users, the toolbar should be your first place for starting your work day. In addition, the more you use it, the more comfortable you will be with taking advantage of everything the Internet can offer you.
